2009 update

So it has been a long time since we have last updated our blog. So we have decided that we would try to post something new each week...the key word is try. on December 9th 2008 we had our one year anniversary as a band. As of 2009 all of the members of our band are adults( Above 18) But also in 2009 we have picked up a new member. Her name is Amy, she is a freshman at Twin Valley highschool. She is our new, fulltime Keyboardist. We just came home from a weekend reatreat with Action and have a whole bunch of pics. Kyle, Dan, Phil and Frontman Sam covered the song "Your Touch" by kutless. They got the whole crowd going wild, mini mash pit, crowd surfing...it was fun. So enjoy the pics and as always contact us if you want us to come to your area.

We're back....

So we havent posted anything for a while...so we figured that we would let you know what was going on between our last post and now...

Kyle& Dan have been putting in some crazy work hours just before school....Sam was in a motocycle accident(he is perfectly fine now), Hannah has been busy with life in general, and phil has been working semi normal hours and working with his other band at church.

All of us took an intentionally break from the band after Hannah and Kyle returned from china...it was not planned by any of us, but it happened.....

SO we are now back into the swing of things. We had our first gig at Action in months...we tried something new, A second guitarist. Ryan is a younger guy who kyle has been teaching guitar lessons to. He told us he wanted to get some experience playing in front of people, so we brought him in. It was a gig at our youth group so it was not a big deal( to most people) if it did not sound as good as it could have. It was a different experience for all of us. Ryan was half decent and did not make any major mistakes, so over all everyone was happy.

We Have our first OFFICIAL gig of this school year at TwinValley Highschool. We will be playing after the game, for a fifth quarter. We will be playing for about 35-45 minutes, all of our favorite tunes as well as some new covers.

If you want more infomation or Directions to the school please email us at Relitivehumility@gmail.com

A brief Intro...

Okay, so as lovely as a job as kyle did putting up pictures and writing some bios, I'm going to embelish a bit with the pics. Enjoy...
So I guess we'll start off with our drummer Phil. We have had no pictures of Philip so I went and stole some...He kills on the drums, and is known to sing along at the same time. He not only plays the drums, but the guitar as well as the bass. It's easy to say, he's good to have around. He and Sam are good at keeping the focus on God. They're great spiritual leaders.

...Speaking of Sam, there was a lack in pictures of him as well...but problem solved...it's all good. Here is Sam.
Like said above he is one of the lead singers in the group. He's very good at staying calm as well as keeping the rest of us that way. He is very versatile. He can make the girls wanna cry as he sings the softies or make the boys rock out as he sings the rock.

And onto Dan...he is our bassist. He's very talented, once he's got it, you're in for a show...He's pretty cool. He doubles as our bodyguard. Dan and Kyle have been working together for about a year now, writing songs.Kyle, our lead guitarist. What isn't there to say about him? He loves to play his guitar. It is possible that he would die without that thing. He loves jammin out to solos and challenging himself with new songs.
And lastly, there is Hannah(aka me). Kyle did a wonderful job of writing about me, so I'll just leave you with this...And just for randomness' sake, we are ridicuously good at packing our equipment...

Home from china

Two of our members just got back from China tonight. Kyle and Hannah were with Action Impact on a missions trip to China. They spent most of the trip together as best friends taking funny pictures and making new friends. They both enjoyed their trip and were greatly impacted by the country. Hannah was not very impressed with the idea of having to use a Turkish toilet(aka- squat pot) when in china, but because of her brilliance she did not have to use one the entire trip. So kyle enjoyed the food and the ability to buy multiple weapons while he was in china. be bought 3 swords, 6 knifes, brass knuckles.....and way to many more to list.....lets just say that China is a hotspot for teen guys to buy every toy they could ever dream off. Hannah surprised many people when she showed up at the hotel with a bigger sword than the rest of the boys on the trip....that's right she bought a cleaver like sword that the ancient Chinese used to decapitate prisoners. By the way the sword was for her big brother, not for her....but it makes a good story. While on the missions part of the trip Kyle and Hannah played sports with the other teenagers from China to build relationships with them. she showed many of the chinese boys up with her football skills. Both kyle and Hannah were able to make friendships with some of the kids over in china and have recived emails from them. Overall we are glad to have them back in the US.

The Singers

So these two beautiful people are our lead singers. They share the role of lead singer in our band. Both are very talented at what they do. They also enjoy singing worship songs together with our band and Co-leading the songs.

Sam is our lead guy. He is an all American home schooled kid who loves riding motocross and preforming with the band. He love to listen to Christan rock bands like Kutless, Thousandfoot krutch, and Relient K. At battle of the bands this year he covered "Saddie Hawkens Dance" by Relient K . He also covered Howie Day's song "Collide", this was a knockout song that made the hearts of many girls throb. He is by far one of the nicest quiet kids you could ever meet. but he can belt out the lyrics when we play. He is a very humble person who keeps the rest of the band humble.

Hannah is the sweetest girl you could ever meet. Not only is she a knockout, but her vocals will send chills down your spine from beautiful sound. She's just a small town girl, who loves to hang out with her friends, go shopping, listen to music, and watch great movies. She is 17 and is currently going to school at a online charter school. Don't think that because she is home schooled that she has no life.....she is very active and has a job that she loves....and truth be told she probably has more friends than the rest of us because everyone loves her. She loves to preform, but gets a little nervous before shows, but once she is on stage she shows no fear belting her lyrics. Recently she covered three songs at the Battle of the bands at Twin Valley High school. She covered the song "Boyfriend" by Ashlee Simpson, along with "girl next door" by Saving Jane. Her final song was an acoustic act with Kyle, singing the song "Don't tell me" by Avril Lavigne. The song was beautiful, and received standing ovations.

Kyle & Dan

So this is Dan....one of our three founding members. He is 17 and enjoys baseball, hunting, girls.....and of coarse playing bass and doing background vocals for our band. He has been playing bass for about 4 years now and enjoys playing songs like "Seven Nation Army" by the White stripes, "Carry On Wayward Son" by Kansas, "Don't stop Believing" by Journey and so many more amazing songs. He also enjoys being a different type of bass player, he doesn't always fall into the normal category when it come to his style. He prides himself in being different from everybody else. He also enjoys writing music for our songs. Dan is the member of our band who is the funny guy. He always has a joke or a good comeback. His Famous line is " you know that you have to have a licence for small arms in Pennsylvania" He uses this when people try to show off their guns or have their shirts off....maby you have to be there for it but we find it humorous.

This is Kyle, he is a 17 year old kid who loves to have fun. He has been playing guitar for about 4 years and is mostly self taught. He is a born rocker who loves 80's music and anything with a good beat or guitar riff. He enjoys playing music by renowned bands like Ac/Dc, Led Zepplin, Ozzy, Journey, Van Hallen, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Brian Adams, Buckcherry, Eve6, Hinder, Nickelback, Simple plan, Avril Lavigne, Daughtry, Greenday, Good Charlotte, so many more..... he enjoys traveling to different country's and dreams of going on a world tour with a band one day. He loves being on stage and preforming. He can play Electric/Acoustic guitar, bass, and some keyboard. If you would ask any of his friends to describe him in one word it would either be "flirt" or "showoff". He tends to do both well, but we don't hold that against him. He is another of our three founding members. He is our band leader and manager. You can contact him personally about gigs or questions about the band at Relitivehumility@gmail.com
